If a Microsoft Office product (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) is experiencing issues with activation, you will see "Unlicensed Product" or "Non-commercial use / Unlicensed Product" in the title bar of your Office apps, and most features of Office are disabled. To correct this, you can use the "Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant" on Windows systems:
- Close all Office Products.
- Download the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant
- Run the "SetupProd_Act.exe" file that downloads.
- Select Install to start the installation.
- Select I agree to accept the "Microsoft Services Agreement."
- Click "Yes" to allow the app to make changes to your device.
- Follow the prompts to troubleshoot your Office activation issue.
Once this is done, see if your Office applications open normally.
